During the rainy season in tropical and sub-tropical regions presence of worms in the intestine is a very common condition.

Symptoms:
A person suffering from intestinal worms may suffer from
a) Loose motions
b) Bad breath
c) Dark circles under the eye
d) Constant hunger pangs
e) Anemia
f) Headache
Causes:
Unhygienic environment is the main contributor to the breeding of worms. The egg of the worm travels in the body through contaminated food and water. Worms such as hook worms even may enters the body if one walks bare foot on the soil. The eggs hatch and multiply in the intestine causing this condition.
Home Remedies:
1. Extract the juice of crushed unripe papaya and add 2 teaspoons of honey and little hot water to it. Mix it well and drink this once in a day. This remedy is very effective in treating intestinal worms.
2. Eat one tablespoon of crushed coconut with your breakfast. After about 3 hours, drink one glass of warm milk mixed with 3 tablespoons of castor oil. Do this daily.
3. Eat 10 grams of jaggery on an empty stomach in the morning. Wait for 15 minutes and eat ½ a teaspoon of crushed carom seeds followed with one glass of water.
