The scientists from UNAM University in Mexico has discovered two proteins called CatSper and Slo3  which provides the necessary mechanics and energy for the easy navigation of sperms through the female genital tract.The contraceptive pill works by inhibiting these proteins,hence hindering the reach of sperms.Another study reveals the presence of a compound called JQ1 which proves essential for sperm production as well as mobility,the two mandatory requirements for fertilization to happen.

All those who crave for that four pegs a day,here is your  good news.Scientists have made use of an incredible drug to create this anti alcoholism pill.Selincro ,also called Nalmefene is an opioid receptor antagonist,used primarily in the treatment of alcohol dependence.The drug works by modulating the reward mechanism in the brain.Clinical trials were conducted with a dosage of 20-80 mg per day orally and they revealed a drop of 61% in the alcohol consumption.(Link)
