You Will Never Drink Coffee After Reading This: 7 Reasons Why Not To Drink Coffee.

Filled under:

Coffee is America’s favorite drug with around 180 million of us starting most days with a caffeine jolt to get going.
There are however some potential negative effects of coffee, particularly at certain times and when it becomes so addictive that you find it difficult to go a day without it.

According to lifehacker.com brewed coffee is the most caffeinated beverage.

In fact, despite some potential longer term benefits, for many of us excessive coffee consumption may be having some very negative effects on our health in the here and now, particularly on our digestive system and stress levels.

7 Side Effects of Drinking Coffee:

#1.Heartburn Problems:

Acid reflux and heartburn can be caused by coffee due to the way it relaxes the lower esophageal sphincter.
Caffeine is known to relax the esophageal sphincter so Coke and high caffeine ‘energy drinks’ can also contribute to heartburn, but coffee is particularly problematic for this.

#2. Coffee, Stress and Tension:

                                 negative coffee effects

While occasional doses of caffeine can relieve headache symptoms, the overuse of caffeine can cause headaches and lead to migraines.
The caffeine in coffee is known to interfere with GABA metabolism. Gamma-aminobutyric acid  is a neurotransmitter involved in regulating mood and stress levels. It should also have a calming effect on the gastrointestinal tract.

#3.Caffeine causes more forceful heart contractions:

A recent study showed that immediately after energy drink consumption the heart produced more forceful contractions. It is unclear if this has any long-term health implications except for those with known health conditions

#4. Thinning Bones:

Drinking caffeinated coffee can increase the amount of calcium that is flushed out in the urine. This might weaken bones. If you have osteoporosis, limit caffeine consumption to less than 300 mg per day (approximately 2-3 cups of coffee).

Taking calcium supplements may help to make up for calcium that is lost.

#5.High Blood Pressure:

Drinking caffeinated coffee might increase blood pressure in people with high blood pressure. However, this effect might be less in people who drink coffee regularly.

#6. Coffee and Hydrochloric Acid:

Drinking coffee on an empty stomach, such as first thing in the morning, stimulates hydrochloric acid production. This can be a problem because HCl should only be produced to digest meals. If your body has to make HCl more often in response to regular cups of coffee, it may have difficulty producing enough to deal with a large meal.

#7.Caffeine Can Cause Allergies:

Some people have over-sensitivity to the caffeine molecule, which causes allergic-like reactions in the body such as hives and pain. Although not a true allergy, many report very negative symptoms after consuming even the smallest amounts.
