Unusual and Amazing Uses of Lemon Juice

Lemons are well known for their amazing flavor. They are juicy, aromatic and highly acidic. They act as a supporting element in your kitchen and food. There are several other uses for lemons that can help you perform your house chores in better way and keep your house look and smell fresh. Here is a list of some amazing uses of lemon juice:

1. Nail Brightener 

You can soak your clean nails in the lemon juice for a minute or two in order to get rid of dullness and yellowish colour of your nails. Adding some drops of olive oil will make it work well and your nails will look stronger and shinier.

2. Food Preservative 

You can preserve your food with the help of lemon juice. Keep cut fruits and vegetables by spraying some lemon juice on them in order to prevent them from getting brown.

3. Odour Destroyer 

Even the most disgusting smell of garlic, fish and other gunk can’t stand in front of your lemon juice’s odour. You can use your just used lemon peel to avoid the bad smells from your fridge, cutting board or microwave. You can also add it to the boiling water of some stinky foods like cabbage.

4. Insect repellent 

Many insects are usually sensitive to smells like spiders, ants, fleas, etc. Squirt some lemon juice in windowsills, the thresholds of doors and any cracks where insects are likely to come in the house. You can also add some lemon juice to your floor wash for better results.

5. Glass Cleaner 

Lemon juice is great at removing hard water stains, debris and other marks on the glass. Add some lemon juice in water and use it with the sponge for hard marks. Wipe it off with paper for better results.

6. Stain Remover 

Any stain on your fabric can be removed with the help of the lemon juice. Durable fabrics can be washed by adding some salt in lemon juice. While for the delicate fabric, it is advised to be gentler.

7. Dandruff Treatment 

Though lemon juice can not cure the dandruff but it can surely remove the flakes that are already present in your hair. You don’t have to worry about their presence on your clothes. Massage some lemon juice on your scalp and leave it for 10 minutes. Then wash it with shampoo as usual.

  1. I frequently juice one lemon, pour into a pint of warm water, add a bit of stevia,powdered magnesium, powdered vit. C, and half teaspoon of powdered cayenne pepper, drink it all at once. Makes for a slimy mouth until all the mucous accumulated in the past 24 hours is spit out. I don't enjoy drinking it, but I do enjoy the results!
